A Map Without

Welcome to talk about the political side of maps and how they can be thought of as representations and interpretations of space, instead of absolute truths. Why can’t maps display everything that is there? How does this create information gaps that leave people and places out?
We’ll also dig into how maps can be visual storytelling tools that serve as platforms for including perspectives that might have been left out of the dominant narrative and together explore new ways to unveil what is missing.
Join a shared map-making process where we together create a map with gaps. You’ll receive a copy afterwards.
Saturday, October 28th from 13:00 – 16:00
Lapinlahden Lähde, Venetsia Building.
