Welcome to the workshop “Me, Myself, and I,” where we explore the various roles in our lives through photography.
Our lives are filled with different roles. Each role, whether it’s a friend, a parent, or an employee, it is meaningful in its own way. These roles can help us balance different aspects of life, and by exploring them, we can strengthen our understanding of ourselves.
In this workshop, we will examine the significance of these roles, how they influence our sense of self, and how they are interconnected. Through guided photography tasks, you will have the opportunity to express and capture the roles that have influenced you. The workshop will provide you with a deeper understanding of the diversity and richness of your own identity.
No previous photography experience is required. Please bring your own camera or a phone and bring your own snacks. Together with photographer Elina Brotherus and psychotherapist Maiju Tokola, we will explore our identities with open curiosity.
The “Me, Myself, and I” workshop lasts for four hours. During this time, we will discuss our roles, take photographs, review the participants’ images, and write down thoughts on the day’s topics. There will be breaks for meals and coffee as well.
The workshop fee is 30 euros. The workshop can accommodate eight people, and registration begins on Friday, July 14th, at 10:00 AM on the Eventual platform, where more information will be posted later. There are only a few spots available, so please be attentive if you’re interested in joining the workshop!
