Metakino How is money generated? What is debt?

A new screening series by the Helsinki-based Metakino starts with Carmen Losmann’s award-winning documentary Oeconomia (2020). Losmann asked dozens of economics professionals to answer a few simple question: the answers (and non-answers) draw an exceptionally lucid image of the mechanisms of our economic system. The screening is followed by a discussion featuring philosopher Tuomas Nevanlinna and postdoctoral researcher Lauri Holappa from the University of Helsinki.
