The exhibition After every night it´s morning presents oil- and watercolour paintings based on photographs from late 2019 to summer 2022. The photographs show memories of nights spent in hospital and of sun illuminating the room from dawn to the afternoon. The watercolour themes include views from hotels rooms and windows.

The title of the exhibition After every night it’s morning can be interpreted as a statement that the earth is still spinning; night and day vary. It can be understood as hope for a new beginning or, on the other hand, as constancy and even boring repetition. The year 2020 brought exceptional times, which have eased like a faded dream. The exhibition captures one person’s experience of that strange time of isolation, the likes of which we are unlikely to experience again.
