Our Library is open every Wednesday 12-18. Warm welcome to browse, read and research!

PUBLICS Library is a public research space dedicated to critical social thinking, learning and education – a place for coming together, discussing, reading and thinking about contemporary art and its many publics. The library is dedicated to representing and challenging the many concepts, theories and practices of curating contemporary art and publicness. Books are available to read, to study and to browse on site. Library is open to the public every scheduled Wednesday or by appointment.

Currently we have more than 9000 titles. Our collection is constantly being updated and catalogued online, with new books added weekly. PUBLICS Library is structured around the following 15 categories:

We now also have a special collection of the first 100 Books published by Lugemik. The collection has been donated to our Library by Lugemik, an independent publishing initiative based in Tallinn, Estonia, founded in 2010. Lugemik 100 Books exhibition took place at PUBLICS in autumn 2023. During the show, Lugemik presented all their titles published between 2010–2023.
