Where do your perspectives, emotions and values stem from?

Enni-Kukka Tuomala invites us to gather around the works in her exhibition and to take part in a shared empathy exercise. The event offers an opportunity to reflect on empathy, how connections are formed, and interpersonal distances and in-between spaces – together with the artist.

Tuomala’s multidisciplinary artistic practice focuses on understanding the relationships between empathy, power, space and systems. In Expanding Empathies, she brings together art and social thought to explore invisible distances and the role of public space in human interaction. During the event, we will gather around her new series of works, Expansions, to consider the many forms connections can take and make – and what empathy could mean in everyday life.

Join us on Wednesday 11 June 2025 at 5:30 pm at Amos Rex. The event lasts approximately 45 minutes. Participation is included in the price of your Amos Rex admission ticket. No advance registration is required, but please arrive on time.
