The event brings together professionals from different fields to reflect on how light art shapes and builds public space.
As part of Lux Helsinki, the international light art symposium at Kiasma Theatre brings together artists, curators, researchers, and cultural professionals to explore how light art shapes and constructs public space. The symposium examines light as a medium of contemporary art, its role in creating shared experiences, and its impact on urban environments and communities.
Through education, lectures, discussions, and case studies, the event offers insights into how light art can foster connections between art, audiences, and public space.
The symposium is free of charge and open to professionals and enthusiasts of light art. Advance registration is required. The registration link will be published on the event website luxhelsinki.fi in December. Please notice, that the amount of seats is limited.
