The front space of Lokal Gallery will temporarily take the form of a teahouse, where, alongside Rutsuko Sakata’s and Kari Virtanen’s tearoom installation, meditative works by artists and makers from Fiskars will be on display. In addition, the exhibition will also feature an assortment of handmade teaware and products related to tea culture.

Together with Thèhuone from Helsinki, we will organize several interactive tea events during the exhibition. In pre-booked events, you will taste a variety of Japanese green teas, and learn about its history, cultivation and preparation methods.
