Juhani Liimatainen, Juho Laitinen and Tuukka Tervo assemble their semi-modular analog synthesizers to form the Arpkestra 7800 group. Instead of three different instruments in a chamber music situation the aim is to explore the sonic and performative possibilities of a shared “superinstrument”. All electric currents produced by the devices are considered potential sound and control signals which are used to create wild and unpredictable feedback loops between the instruments.

In the new experimental repertoire of the group, the points of inquiry are a sequencer that behaves chaotically as a result of clock speed modulation, the organic rhythm music of beating oscillators, and a collective ring modulator.
