Sometimes in the middle of the night, when I can’t sleep, I think about death. What happens to us?

Someone once told me that everything that exists is made up of the same tiny elementary particles and that every natural being is a different combination of the same pieces. We carry a 13.8-billion-year-old inheritance that has traveled across light years to become us. When we die, the building blocks simply change form. The thought is comforting. We are circulating matter that once burned in the hearts of suns.

In my art, I explore the relationship between humans and their surroundings. I am fascinated by the idea that nature, all living beings and the entire universe are composed of the same elements born inside stars. A sense of connection and shared origin forms the foundation of this exhibition.
In some of the works, I have used exposure techniques. My main method combines pinhole photography with printmaking. Using cameras I have built myself, I have created solarigraphs – long-exposure landscape images that record the paths of the sun. I have transformed these images into prints by exposing them onto photopolymer plates and printing them on intaglio paper. Some of the plates have been exposed using sunlight.
