About the Workshop

This two-part workshop offers an introduction to the bandoneon and to the practice with acoustic and augmented instruments. During the first hour, Mercedes will present the bandoneon keyboard, playing techniques, extended approaches to the instrument, and an overview of how I develop electronic ecosystems for performance and composition.

The second hour will focus on improvisation, experimentation, and collective exploration. Participants will have the opportunity to test ideas, play together, and explore sound in an open and collaborative environment.
