Somewhere in the building, a computer works around the clock, controlling the railway switches and signals. The trains it lets through carry people across the city. As they pass, they also set the installation in motion. It is unclear which of these functions is more important.

Kristin Wiking is an artist based in Helsinki and Vilnius. She creates installations in which simple materials borrow movement from invisible forces, often following an absurd logic.
