How does it feel like to dive into a pond and float in the water, gently caressed by water lilies and other aquatic plants in the sound of a frog choir?

Ponds, lakes, streams, and rivers offer a sheltered and gentle way for many to go swimming when, for one reason or another, public swimming pools are not an option.

The installation celebrates natural bodies of water and the simple joy of being and swimming in them.

Miltä tuntuu sukeltaa lampeen ja lillua vedessä lumpeiden ja vesiheinän hiveltävänä, sammakoiden kurnuttaessa?

Lammet, järvet, purot ja joet tarjoavat suojaisan ja lempeän mahdollisuuden päästä uimaan monille, jotka syystä tai toisesta eivät pysty käymään julkisissa uimaloissa tai uimahalleissa.

Näyttely juhlistaa luonnonvesistöjä ja tuo näkyväksi niissä olemisen ilon. Se tavoittelee kesäistä tunnekokemusta, muistoa, kuvitelmaa.

Teittinen Lizard is a Helsinki-based visual artist working primarily with sculpture. Their sculptures most often depict emotions and experiences through human figures. Many of their pieces are created through handbuilding clay techniques and various casting methods. A significant part of their artistic practice is also based on playfully experimenting with materials and shapes and relying on the storytelling of the material itself.
