Grey Gardens Studios is a studio collective founded in 2019 in Itä-Pasila, which is currently located in Helsinki’s Merihaka. The collective includes 24 artists from different age groups and different nationalities. Grey Gardens, which describes the urban architecture of Itä-Pasila and Merihaa as a working environment, is also a reference to the 1975 documentary film of the same name. The goal of the studio collective is to maintain creative work, share resources and offer support in the form of community. Grey Garden Studios has organized three exhibitions, Night of the Arts (2019) in Itä-Pasila, Organic (2023) in Galleria Longa in Kalasatama and Out of Office (2023) in Asbestos Art Space in Kruununhaka, Helsinki.
