The annual sound festival ÄÄNIAALTO is back with its 7th edition!

ÄÄNIAALTO VII brings a month of experimental performances, new media and sound art as well as workshops – all of this free of charge and open to everyone in the Helsinki region. Throughout its different editions, ÄÄNIAALTO has become a linking platform between emerging and established sound artists in their field.

An open call will be held from 9th of April to 16th of May where artists can submit their applications for audiovisual performances and/or workshops.

ÄÄNIAALTO VII will be held in two parts at two locations: in Vuotalo at 2-3 September and in Vapaan Taiteen Tila in 23-24 September. In between those dates, an audiovisual exhibition called Flux Island will also be held in Vuotalo.

ÄÄNIAALTO VII is a collaboration between DADA ry, Aalto University and the University of the Arts Helsinki, together with the Vuotalo Culture Center for 2022.
