To launch the new monograph Martti Aiha: A Culture, we organise a panel discussion gathering practitioners and theoreticians who were friends and collaboration partners of the prominent Finnish artist Martti Aiha (1952–2023), such as the professor and architect Pentti Kareoja and the professor and economist Dr. Mika Pantzar. Moderated by Dr. Marja Sakari. In Finnish.
The book documents and contextualises the career of prominent Finnish artist Martti Aiha (1952–2023) and shares its title with the memorial exhibition co-curated by Anders Kreuger and artist Nina Roos at Kohta in August–October 2024. It contains new essays by Kreuger and by Dr. Marja Sakari, former director of Ateneum in Helsinki.
Published by Kohta and Parus Verus with support from the Niilo Helander Foundation. Graphic design by Samuli Saarinen. Finnish translation by Teo Aiha. Thanks to the Martti Aiha Estate.
