BURNT DRAWINGS is the first series of work that I realized after my psychosis crisis and my stay of three weeks in a mental hospital.

So it has been a long time that I couldn’t use my studio and try to create something new. The creation of this series hasn’t been easy.

I was still suffering of my childhood traumas while doing it, and still going through a slow recovery process.

I can say that these works are born from a personal fight against my own nightmares.
The creative process has been made in a back and forth ongoing between the studio and the outside, while alternately drawing and burning the works.

I’m studying through this series the possibility to draw in a sculptural way.

By using different rusted objects as stencils, I try to stretch the two dimensional drawings towards more haptic realities.
