At Kiasma, the second Friday of every month is Date Friday!

Would you like to meet new people? Or are you planning a date and wondering where to meet?

Date Friday at Kiasma makes conversation and getting acquainted easy. The programme is designed to help you meet new people.

Pick up conversation cards to spark and deepen discussions in the exhibitions. Conversation cards are available in the lobby.

Making Friends Through Art – friend-tours at Kiasma
from 4 PM onwards, starts in the Seminar-room, 1st floor

Are you interested in meeting new people on friendly terms? On Kiasma’s friend-tours, participants set off on an exhibition tour in small groups of about six people who don’t yet know each other. The tour begins with a brief shared introduction. You’ll receive conversation starters to help spark discussion as you explore the art together.

Sign up to join! By providing your age group, we can match you with people of a similar age. You’ll receive your group’s meeting time and place by email before the event.

You can also register spontaneously on site on 12 December and join a tour. Please note that the formation of groups depends on the number of participants.

Participation requires purchasing a museum ticket (regular ticket €22/€20, discounted €12, or €0 with a valid Museum Card).

The event follows safer space principles.

Drawing after work
5–7.30 PM, Kiasma Café

Sit down with a drink, a cup of coffee or a small bite and start drawing! Kiasma Café provides drawing materials as well as task cards with simple and fun prompts you can do together with others or on your own.

Want to meet new people? Take a seat at the mingling table where you can do drawing tasks together with new acquaintances.

Single and ready to mingle?
Kiasma’s Date Friday offers singles badges! Many singles are tired of dating apps and dream of meeting interesting people in real life. By wearing a green badge on your lapel, you can signal to other singles at Kiasma that you’re interested in meeting new people. The event will follow the principles of safer spaces.

5–8 PM, Kiasma lobby and Kiasma Café

East-Helsinki–based joku dj, Elena Liski, will take the Date Friday audience on a journey through time, from the pulse of the 2020s to the velvety soft sounds of the 1970s. An incurable romantic, she has put together a set in which every song is a secret declaration of love.

On Date Fridays, the café offers glasses of bubbly at a special price. There’s also a themed cocktail and light bites on the menu.
