A subtle change in air pressure activates the mechanism and the metal rushes into the cavity — CLICK, GUSHH — it is shut forever. Here lies the true puzzle: in a long-forgotten server, the character, the plane, the space — nothing changes, for there is no time here. Do we decompose in a world without time?

A world without time is a life between two windows.
The exhibition functions as a virtual game space, where a character has come through one image but failed to enter another, becoming stuck in the gallery space. Time has passed, without moving forward.

Memory operates on two overlapping yet contradictory levels: as lived, experiential image, and as a physical process — as electricity and fluids moving through the brain. Beneath what is felt or remembered, another material reality persists: the physical mechanics of a biological system.

HIGH / LOW = ANGEL / BUG
BORN BUG / DIED ANGEL

Niklas Feinik (b. 1992, Tampere) is a Helsinki-based artist who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025. His practice is characterised by shifts between internal, physical and virtual space. The work spans photography, video, sculpture and installation. Objects embedded in clay, translucent and candy-like, refer to memory and produce a bodily sense of immersion.

Fluids Puzzle is Niklas Feinik’s first solo exhibition in Helsinki.
