The Ghost Boy is the story of James. James lives in the North of England in North-Yorkshire, which is known as a hot spot for paranormal events. The ghosts of the past now howl in the narrow streets of the somewhat sad and forgotten town of Scarborough. The city was previously known as a summer resort for the cream of Victorian society. James has ADHD. He feels that this neurological abnormality gives him the ability to see, hear and experience things more than others. In addition, ADHD causes supernatural things to happen around him. The work tells the story of James, his family, his life and supernatural experiences, as well as what it’s like to live with a neurological abnormality.
Emilia Ukkonen has studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki and the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm. He currently works in Helsinki.
