In her exhibition, Evita Sysilä addresses society’s reserved attitudes towards women with strong emotions and the difficulty of facing one’s vulnerabilities. The exhibition consists of paintings and drawings made with different techniques.
Society allows women a narrow scale of emotions and violating this emotional scale is frowned upon. However, unpleasant and negative feelings are a part of imperfect existence. In the midst of anxiety, beauty and humor can be found.
