Welcome to the closing concert of the HuHuilu ja MoniMuu exhibition, where guitarist Gon Muruaga and flutist-singer Heliä Mailiis Viirakivi musically interpret the exhibition’s art. Additionally, the concert will feature live performances of pieces composed by Heliä Mailiis Viirakivi for the HuHuilu ja MoniMuu exhibition.

Gonzalo Muruaga is an internationally active musician based in Helsinki with an academic background. He holds a bachelor’s degree in guitar performance and a master’s degree in jazz from La Colmena, Argentina. Additionally, he has a master’s degree in contemporary improvisation from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. His musical approach combines elements of contemporary music, jazz, experimental music, sound design, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Heliä Mailiis Viirakivi is a versatile Finnish musician who works in contemporary music, experimental contemporary music, contemporary improvisation, and multidisciplinary concepts. She has studied classical music, contemporary music, and contemporary improvisation at the Helsinki Conservatory and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. Her unique artistic voice blends extended techniques and folk and gospel influences with classical vocal technique into a cohesive whole.
