The participating artists are Esme Allman, Luísa Leão, Martina Miño Pérez, Marlene Leonie Posch, Laura Purcell, GO.RA, Haruka Saito, Jean-Lorin Sterian and Lucas Selezio de Souza.

HIAP’s Autumn Open Studios is a great opportunity to get to know the season’s residents and their artistic processes. There will be a tour of the Open Studios at 15.15-16.15 in English. The meeting point for the tour is in Gallery Augusta. 

The ferries run every 20 minutes on the day of Viaporin Kekri. If you want to attend the tour, it’s good to catch the ferry from Kauppatori at 14:40 or before. The event is informal, friendly, and open to all. We are looking forward to welcoming you all!

HIAP Open Studios is a reoccurring event at the end of each residency season. It offers the unique opportunity to meet up and engage into conversations with the resident artists and curators, get to know more about their practice, and view the work that they are currently developing as part of their residency. This season’s event takes place on 31.10.2026, and allows a glimpse into various stages of artistic work, research and experimentation.

Accessing part of the HIAP studios, office, Gallery Augusta & Project Space by wheelchair is possible but we recommend to be accompanied by a person assisting because the entrance doors are not step-free. The HIAP toilets are not wheelchair-accessible but you can find accessible toilets on five different locations on the island indicated on this map. The closest one to the HIAP Studios is located in the Summer Theatre (building nr 36 on the Suomenlinna visitors’ map). We are happy to help you plan your visit.
