Safety Chamber Exhibition consists different paintings based on fantacy world. The works get their inspiration of magicalism, affective objects and Internet culture.
I have finished the works during 2022. The technique that I’m using is called alla prima, suitable for quickly drying acrylic painting. During this year I have been investigating cuteness in my art and all the phenomenons included to the topic. This exhibition is a last one what becomes to the theme.
Cuteness can be seen as a force. It breaks the structures of toxicity in our society. Safety Chamber is camber of art space where the presence it self is the only thing recuired. Cuteness can break the idea of performative masculinity with empathy, nursing and caring that are considered to be feminine qualities. This exhibition is a statement of the fact that non of us are capable to survive on our own. Everyone needs help from time to time in different situations on life. The idea of cuteness can be seen as escapistic phenomenon and as a trend produced by capitalism which can divide and increase inequality. My works are manifesting the joy of collecting and creating small collage-kind art works.
