Cobots and Nectar is a site-specific total installation that transforms the exhibition space into a continuous textile landscape. Through scenography, textiles, photography, and ceremonial sculptures, walls, floors, and ceilings become part of a spatial composition where color, pattern, and materiality carry the narrative.

The work explores the political and poetic potential of textile by merging symbolism, ritual, and craft. The sweatshirt – a mass-produced everyday garment – is reconfigured through reuse, deconstruction, and handwork into modular constructions.

A cyclical flow of materials unfolds, where each work acts as a layered prologue to the next. Painted surfaces bear traces of previous contexts and function as records of bodily, accidental, and temporal presence. Construction, dissolution, and repetition drive a living artistic process.

A cross-disciplinary whole emerges – a hybrid between sculpture, fashion, and performance – where the works become a language for both intimacy and resistance.
Jenny Holmlund’s practice moves between playfulness, patience, and material care. Rooted in craft, reuse, and intuition, her work approaches making as a rhythmic process of form-building, where fragments connect like a puzzle or a family tree, carrying traces of what came before.

Holmlund studied at the Nordic Art School in Kokkola and at HDK-Valand – Academy of Art and Design in Gothenburg. Since 2023, she has been based in Helsinki.
