A piece choreographed for five dancers about being on the boundary line, creating boundaries, crossing them and the moments when boundaries disappear.

The work illustrates the concept of a boundary as most of all a physical experience from personal to collective situations, looking for inspiration from boundaries as social and cultural phenomena and pondering the related broader symbolism of boundaries.

Katja Mustonen and Mirva Mäkinen have worked on the international contact improvisation field for twenty years. “Our competence and dancing skills are strongly rooted in improvisation, partner techniques and contact improvisation.”

Spring Break is a small-scale festival centred around movement organised by the Kinetic Orchestra.
