Markus Konttinen (b. 1957) has had around 130 solo and joint exhibitions in Finland and abroad. His works are included in many main public collections in Finland and in private and other public collections in Finland and abroad. He has studied and worked as lecturer, professor, rector and dean at the Academy of Fine Arts in University of Arts in Helsinki. Awards: Young Artist of the Year (Tampere Art Museum), Pro Finlandia medal (Finnish State), Doctor of Honour – Honoris Causa, University of the Arts in Helsinki.
