“Photogrammetry in Artistic Practice” by Dalia Mikonytė and Adomas Žudys, Workshop, 15.05.25 at 15:00
This practice-oriented workshop offers an introduction to the photogrammetry usage in artistic practice. Photogrammetry is a technique of obtaining reliable surface information about physical objects and the environment through processes of recording, measuring, and interpreting photographic images. The technique allows creative interpretation and deconstruction of the material surfaces.
Participants will get to know exemplary photogrammetry usage in artistic research, project development and creative process, acquire basic knowledge of the software (Agisoft Metashape, Cinema 4D / Blender), and develop their own photogrammetry objects as part of experimental exercises. The workshop aims to enable all participants to use photogrammetry to enrich their toolkit and create visuals for the presentation.
No prior knowledge is required, just curiosity.
The participants will have to bring laptops, fully charged mobile phones with a possibility to take pictures and cable to transfer them to the laptop. They are also welcome to bring objects for scanning.
