Nari Tea’s Yiling Wu and Patrick Chang take center stage at the Design Museum to focus on Rhythm, the latest theme at CreativeMornings/Helsinki. While the entrepreneurial couple’s endeavors are centered around specialty tea, above all it’s people – encountered amidst sips at a slow pace – that make it all worthwhile.

Hoping to expand the collective imagination of what tea can be, Patrick and Yiling built Nari Tea to experiment, collaborate, and connect. The communal teahouse nestled in Kallio is also a meeting place in a broader sense: single-origin tea holds the potential to bring guests closer not only to each other but also to the artisans behind specialty tea.

What led the duo to devote their time to the beverage with heaps of history? How does tea go in sync with art, design, and other creative disciplines? Plus, what kinds of relationships flow from maintaining full transparency from farm to cup?
