The exhibition Time’s Shadows Disappearing in the Mirror deals with the relationship between fantasy and contemporary art. The exhibition features works by seven artists. The invited artists Mariam Falaileh, Eetu Sihvonen, Joel Slotte and Timo Vaittinen will participate in the exhibition with their new works. In addition, there are works by Vantaa Art Museum’s collection artists Pentti Kaskipuro, Hanna Nieminen and Kaija Poijula.

The artists in the exhibition are united by an interest in the interfaces between everyday life and imagination, inner reality and symbolism. The works move between reality and fantasy, everyday life and mysticism, and the material and the spiritual.

The exhibition explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy in a diverse way, opening perspectives to the core of human experience. It provokes reflection on the possibilities of experience and invites us to examine universal questions of life and existence.

The exhibition at Vantaa Art Museum Arts has been curated together with visual artist Timo Vaittinen.
