MELTS
The peace of a world silenced by snow is shattered. The drops begin to fall. Magic winter, I weep.
I remember the snowy winters of my childhood. I am fascinated by the magical light of snow and its effect on landscape shapes. I think of winter as a stagnant time when nature is present, but absent. Humanity’s attitude to the signs of climate change could be compared to hibernation.
MELTS -exhibition takes place in the terrain of grief on the trail of snow. When the world is no longer what it has been. In the works, I deal with grief, crying and winter from the perspective of environmental grief. I am building a dialogue between the inanimate and the living, the universal and the individual, the whole and the broken. I try to bring a huge scale subject intimately close.
