One large sheet of paper, many drawers. In the Line by Line workshop, participants create a shared artwork using charcoal. Drawing together in silence encourages deeper listening in new ways. The temporary nature of the artwork, and the act of sharing both space and paper, give rise to encounters in which we become familiar on paper.

Siiri Turpeinen and Paula Savolainen study art education. In their individual and collaborative work, they explore the significance of transience and shared spaces. How can a space that brings people together be created? Is simply being in the same space, without words, already radical?
