The exhibition is the first part in a series of four exhibitions were visual artist Robin Lindqvist explores the contemporary landscape with the four classical elements – Earth, Air, Fire, and Water – as a starting point. Each exhibition will hone in on one particular element and place it into focus. In tm•gallery new works will be presented that in various ways explores- and examines the element of Air.
Robin Lindqvist (born 1979 in Ystad, Sweden, living and working in Finland since 2006) graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. Since then he has presented 8 solo exhibitions and participated in several group exhibitions. He is represented with works in the collections of the Finnish National Gallery, HAM Helsinki Art Museum, Kiasma, Pro Artibus, Finnish Art Society, Päivi and Paavo Lipponen Foundation, the Seppo Fränti collection and other private collections. In 2016 he received the William Thuring-prize from the Finnish Art Society. His works can be described as conceptual-minimal with a great emphasis on color.
