Noora Sandgren works with photography, text, spatial installations, and event‑based/performative works. Her art explores multispecies coexistence, and she often shares authorship with weather, materials, and other living beings. Sandgren is active in interdisciplinary collaborations and art communities, including at Harakka Island. She earned an MA in Photography from Aalto University in 2020 and a BA from the University of Helsinki in 2011, majoring in Social psychology. Her work has been presented in several exhibitions, including the recent solo at HIAP’s Gallery Augusta (2026), and as a public art commission by HAM (Helsinki Art Museum) (2026–).

Arriving at the island:

The shuttle boat departs from the Kaivopuisto pier, next to Café Ursula.
Adult return ticket €9. Children and pensioners €6.
Only card payments or MobilePay are accepted on the boat.
Raise the white flag on the pier so that the boat knows to come and pick you up.
