Can non-Europeans Publish? is an artistic research project by Paola Jalili. It investigates how publishing labour intersects with lived experiences of migration, borders, and immigration bureaucracies. In the previous iteration of this project, Paola wrote a text outlining some of the structural obstacles artists and publishers face when working in the cultural field as non-EU residents in Finland.

For volume 3 of this series, Paola proposes using the space of this residency to gather with others facing similar obstacles and try to find strategies to overcome them together. The aim of this event is to meet each other, and to create networks of support and skill-sharing as non-EU artists and publishers.
