In Anna-Sofia Anttonen’s music, delicately tuned colours blend with layered electronics and, at times, a touch of whimsical pipe-playing playfulness. Alongside saxophones, she performs on ceramic Kukkapilli flutes created in collaboration with Armi Teva. The flutes’ microtonal tuning and imaginative shapes—flowers, birds, animals, and various creatures—lead the listener into an imaginary place where one can attune to subtle feelings and sway along.

Anttonen’s works intertwine peace, playfulness, sensitivity, and sorrow, exploring the physicality of the pipe player as well as the states of breathing and breath-holding.

Registration for the concert opens on Kirpilä Art Collection’s website on 21 April 2026.

The concert has 45 seats, 35 of which can be reserved online. The remaining seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the concert.
