Ballroom challenges you to bring it on the runway so that you can bring that confidence into the real world when you walk on the streets. Find your inner diva and let her shine.

During the workshop we will go through the history of Ballroom, and provide an opportunity for you to develop an alter ego and work with angles to channel the essence of a model. We invite you to bring clothing that you no longer wear and participate in a clothing swap with other workshop participants!

Aero Vineyard is a poet, event producer, and researcher whose practice centers community, love, and archives of time. He is currently conducting doctoral research on community care and queer kinship in the Nordic Ballroom Scene, and is exploring the intersections of his research and lived experiences through his creative work. He dreams of alternative ways of capturing, re-experiencing, and re-telling “everyday stories” that make life worth living.

Ozeya Vineyard is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, music producer, and writer — a “deep thinker” whose art reflects her identity and lived experience. Formerly a freelance producer for independent musicians, Ozeya now channels her creativity into her own projects, merging music, visual art, and storytelling. Whether sewing effects for a runway look or producing a soundscape, she moves across mediums with curiosity and care. As a queer person of color, Ozeya’s work is about pushing boundaries and building home – especially for those often left on the margins.
