The world is sliding into universal anarchy, international laws and norms are systematically being dismantled and ignored, those who dare to speak out are individually targeted. Where does art fit in? What can art do to examine, understand, and provide perspectives on the human aspects of this movement towards international lawlessness and terror?

The Myymälä2 curated exhibition Everything is up for grabs aims to create discussion and highlight this trend by creating a situation that is a free-for-all. During the exhibition period the two gallery rooms can be used by anyone to present their artwork and any artwork installed or performed in the space is simultaneously free for the taking. What happens when desires, commodities, installations, and ideas become unregulated and when traditional norms don’t apply? How does exhibition making change when anyone can bring artworks into the space at any time? And anyone can take them away at any time. Can convivial organising emerge from it or will everything descend into the chaos of a dog eat dog world? Will anybody dare to enter and will anything be left at the end?
