Opening Friday 22 April 2022, 4 pm to 6 pm at Annantalo and from 6 pm to 8 pm at Cable Factory. Free bus connection for opening guests from Annantalo to Cable Factory.

Annantalo and MUU ry started in the Spring 2021 Media Art for Children. The joint project that aims to make media art more familiar and approachable, particularly for children, young people and families. The project will culminate in the two-part Exploring the Weirdexhibition starting in April.

The exhibition was curated via an Open Call organized by MUU in the fall 2021. The Open Call gathered 80 proposals. The exhibition presents works from artists Jan Anderzén, Petteri Cederberg, Rag Elnyg, Katarina Karppinen, Marko Lampisuo, Arttu Nieminen, Sirpa Päivinen, Unna Takalo, Marja Viitahuhta and Timo Wright.

From Annantalo student groups presented are Aikaa, Animaatiotaikurit, Animoi!, Auringonpilkut, Gesso, Jupiter, Konstnärligt arbete, Maalimaakarit, Sutinat, Taikasiveltimet, Väriroiskeet, Väriviikarit and Wroom!. In addition, works are presented from Art Clinic child-adult working pairs as well as 5×2 school groups. Each group includes a body of work. In total more than 100 young artists are presented in the exhibition.

During Spring the exhibition will host workshops and guided tours. More information about the activities can be found from the website www.annantalo.fi and www.muu.fi
