The exhibition consists of photographs and photographic works that have arisen, through various experiments, from observations in which the mundane and the inexplicable collide with each other.

The difference between normal and strange is like a line drawn in water: one ordinary thing is distorted so that its meaning becomes completely different. Childhood’s imagined beings, games and irrational fears fade with age as if unnoticed, to instead revolve around money, health, and relationships; though the inexplicable still does not completely want to let go of its grip: It’s a strange sound in the middle of a dark forest and it’s the wrong shape in the wrong place, like an algorithm that orbits the surrounding reality, the operation of which can never be fully understood.

Jukka Tilus (b. 1980) is a photographic artist living in Vantaa. In his work, he combines different genres of photography, from documentary to more experimental elements.
