At once inspirational, creative, and at times hilarious, Tan provides multiple strategies to disrupt and reclaim ideas and spaces about leadership.

The lecture is set to original composition by Philip Tan and includes clips from Kai Syng Tan’s short film commissioned for BBC Culture in Quarantine How to Thrive in 2050! (2021).

Artist

Kai Syng Tan PhD FRSA PFHEA is an award-winning artist-academic-agitator. Hyper-active and tentacular, Tan (she/they) activates artistic and artful processes and strategies to catalyse novel insights, dialogues and actions for a more equitable and creative future. Kai’s book on re-imagining leadership as a co-creative, neuro-queered practice centring anti-oppression and futurity will be out in Summer 2024. She is Associate Professor in Arts and Cultural Leadership, University of Southampton, UK.
