In Sorrow Maaretta Caselius reflects on the pollution of the oceans, and how humanity continues to egotistically and relentlessly test the limits of the Earth’s ecosystem. The video unfolds slowly but inexorably, with denizens of the seas staring us mutely in the eye: why, what is happening?

Esa Kotilainen’s delicate yet powerful soundscape speaks of the diversity of the underwater world and makes the sorrow of the sea audible to our ears.
