Themes of the exhibition: Living forms, born in the the northern light, shaped by the energy of the colour and their real existence. The exhibition includes paintings and drawings; oil on canvas, watercolour and coloured pen on paper.

Markus Konttinen (b. 1957) has been working as visual artist since 1978. He has had around 130 solo and joint exhibitions in Finland and abroad. His works are included in many main public collection in Finland and also in private and other public collections in Finland and abroad. He has studied and worked as lecturer, professor, rector and dean at the Academy of Fine Arts in University of Arts in Helsinki. Awards: Young Artist of the Year Tampere Art museum, Pro Finlandia medal, Finnish State, Doctor of Honour – Honoris Causa, University of the Arts in Helsinki.
