In their joint exhibition, Sasha and Robin explore the limits and overlaps of their joint work.

Robin’s vibrant serigraphs examine form, color, rhythm and tone. Using the grid pattern, he tries to find a balance between control, playfulness and chance. His two-color monotypes avoid the flatness typical of serigraphy.

In her artistic work, Sasha has expanded the concept of communication between people, time and space by using traditional sewing as a form of expression. Embroidery and appliqué is a common pastime among women and girls in traditional cultures. In her work, Sasha combines the concept of contemporary art and embroidery in a cultural and historical context.

In their joint work, Sasha and Robin play with free drawing and playfully create a background for their other works by improvising. This work combines the aspects that are at the center of the work of both artists – the process and joy of drawing.
