Kari Soinio has captured his everyday life and his home in photographs with an aesthetic charge of laconic elegance. The documentation feels real and sincere, but small absurd details create small cracks in the illusion. The middle-aged man poses as a model for his own images in a way that the intimate presence of the images does not elevate gender to the forefront but emphasises the individual and humanity.
