Are you moved by music? Experience music created by movement! In Stefan Klaverdal’s and Minna Tervamäki’s unique performance, the music is built in real time from sounds present in the room, like those of the audience or the presentation itself, and then manipulated by movement.
In this collaboration nothing is certain. No actual music is prepared beforehand, no set choreography decided upon. Everything is created in the present.
The music slowly builds up from words, noises in the audience, rustling of clothes and then transforms into something else. Something that eventually turns into a story. One we can not know beforehand.
Swedish composer and artist Stefan Klaverdal has worked with sound for almost thirty years and still searches for new ways of transforming ordinary sounds into music using electronic means.
For Moving Sound Klaverdal collaborates with Finnish dancer-choreographer Minna Tervamäki, who continually challenges herself by internalising new ways of perceiving dance in interdisciplinary creative encounters.
