My recent paintings are on display in this exhibition. In the beginning I thought that I hadn’t done anything lately and that perhaps I could do something. I could paint, for example. I didn’t want to paint anything specific, I wanted to paint without preordained parameters, without rules, maybe I would want to daub some paint on a canvas, make brush strokes. I thought that maybe paintings always have their own set of natural laws, their inner system, their own gravity and atmosphere, and I thought my brush strokes would inevitably settle down into their own order according to those laws. OK then I applied some paint on canvas with a paintbrush.
