This architecture walk explores Aalto’s human-centred modernism through buildings ranging from Finlandia Hall to Rautatalo and the Academic Bookstore. What makes Aalto’s work timeless and iconic? The tour reveals how architecture, materials and human scale come together in Aalto’s Helsinki.

The architecture walks are scripted by experts from the Architecture & Design Museum Helsinki and guided by museum guides with in-depth knowledge of the tour themes. The tours are part of the 2026 summer season programme, offering open architecture walks to some of Helsinki’s most fascinating sites.

Participation
A place on the architecture walk must be reserved in advance via our event platform. Tickets are paid online in advance, and registration is binding. Please present your booking confirmation (received by email) to the guide before the tour begins.

Price: €15 / person
Duration: approx. 90 minutes
Language: Tours are available in Finnish, English and Russian

The maximum group size is 25 participants. The participation fee must be paid via online registration no later than the day before the tour. Payments are accepted only through our online event platform; on-site payment is not possible.

Tour details
The walk begins in front of Finlandia Hall, on the Mannerheimintie side (Mannerheimintie 13 e, 00100 Helsinki), and ends at the final destination in central Helsinki. The duration of the walk is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
