COMREAD aims to study communist histories and theories to better understand the trajectories of the international movement and its ideas. One of the tasks for the reading circle is to learn about difficult moments in the history of the Left and to do that from within, moving forward collectively.

For the Autumn Term 2024, we are proposing a new and more speedy way of collective reading: one book in one month. Prior to the meeting, we should read a whole text, and then come together to discuss it, each one of us being in charge of summarising one section of it for others during the meeting.

The text next in line for us to read is a book by Vincent Bevins, If We Burn.
