Jani Frisk (b. 1995) is a Helsinki-based visual artist working with photography and moving image. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Photographic Art at the Turku Arts Academy. Frisk has worked as a cinematographer on short films screened at Nordic and European film festivals, and he is currently directing an experimental documentary film about Lake Inari. His artistic practice draws from documentary work and explores visual storytelling and reinterpretation through perspective experiments, often by examining his subjects from an exceptionally close distance. He is one of the latest members to join Värinä and a member of the board.

The opening of Jani’s exhibition ‘Kauneuden jälkeen’ is 9.10 from 18-20 at Street Gallery Mutteri (Kirstinkatu 14, Helsinki). The exhibition is open until 25.10 and viewable 24/7.
